Why UEL

Why UEL offer something new and unique.

Expert advice that’s handy to find.

United Employment Lawyers is our recognised badge – one which will become recognised for the level of independent service and attention to client’s concerns. However, this does not in any way interfere with a law firm’s existing name and standing in its community.

All UEL members remain independent law firms in their own right. Local knowledge is often the best.

  • All UEL members are in agreement in maintaining the highest level of ethical standards for legal services, making a commitment to serving clients.
  • All UEL members benefit from regular training opportunities and seminars from leading employment law experts.
  • All UEL members meet regularly to discuss common legal issues that affect individual and business clients.
  • All UEL members are fully qualified lawyers operating in the UK.

Louise Fraser, of DM MacKinnon, a long established general practice that has always provided an employment law service, explains how UEL works for alongside her firm.

“Being members of United Employment Lawyers we have the opportunity of improving the professional service offered to our clients, be they employers or employees, conscious of the support that being members of a specialist employment group will provide. Being involved in the group, we are always a phone-call/email away for specialist advice and assistance,” said Louise, who joined the firm in 2010 and has become a specialist in employment law.

“As a firm, we were keen to be involved with such a unique group as United Employment Lawyers as it affords the firm the ability to provide a comprehensive, quality service at reasonable rates. This, in turn, will benefit our clients who will have increased access to specialist legal advice on all employment matters,” she added.

Ben Thornber, of Thornber Associates, feels the same as Louise.

“United Employment Lawyers is a fantastic resource of shared legal knowledge and best practice throughout the network, and of backup support to my employment law business. It helps us to deliver on our core value of providing excellent service to clients.”
