Falkirk legal team score with an employment law fixture

Employers and human resources managers can get up to speed on workplace changes that kick off next month, at a special seminar at Falkirk Football Stadium on 20th March.

Fraser Tait, a partner with Falkirk law firm, Tait Macleod, who holds a masters degree in employment law, said: “This is a breakfast seminar for anyone who needs to know about the changes that are about to take place. The world of work is changing dramatically, which is shown by the rules on unfair dismissal which kick in from April. There is now a fast-track way of resolving disputes using ACAS which might prevent businesses and individuals ending up in costly Employment Tribunals.”

Fraser’s colleague Fiona Munn, of Marshall Wilson, also based in Falkirk, is teaming up with Fraser, for this important local seminar.

“We hope this will be a valuable session for those wanting to know about the changes. Employment law impacts on everyone in the workplace today and the more information you have, the less chance there is of a dispute escalating. Our seminar is designed for employers and business people and it’s an easy way to find out what it happening.“

Both Fraser and Fiona are members of United Employment Lawyers, Scotland’s leading legal network for High Street law firms, with over 25 firms across Scotland.

Also making an expert contribution will be Ben Thornber, of Thornber Employment Law, based in Fife, and Malcolm Mackay, the chairman of United Employment Lawyers, and a distinguished practitioner on employment law across the UK and Europe.

If you are interested in attending, contact Fraser Tait, of Tait Macleod, on 01324 88 88 77 by 12noon on 19th March. The seminar is at Falkirk Football Stadium on 20th March, starting at 7.45am and finishing at 8.45am. Tea, coffee and bacon rolls will be provided.
