Ewan joined AC White Solicitors and Notaries in 2005, having practised law previously in Glasgow. Formed in 1900, AC White is a busy practice offering a wide range of legal services. For more than 30 years the firm has provided specialist Employment Law advice.
Since moving to Ayr, Ewan has worked almost exclusively in the field of Employment Law. He represents both employers and employees advising on all aspects of Employment Law including unfair dismissal, business transfers, discrimination and restrictive covenants.
He assists clients with the full spectrum of situations that can arise at work such as dealing with flexible work requests, advising on disciplinary and grievance procedures, handling redundancy exercises and business restructuring, negotiating settlement agreements and preparing written contracts and staff handbooks.
Ewan appears regularly at the Employment Tribunal and has considerable court experience, both criminal and civil. He has also spoken on Employment Law issues at continuing professional development events for solicitors.
Ewan studied law at the University of Glasgow. Prior to that, he obtained an honours degree in modern languages from the University of London before living and working in Germany for three years. He is a fluent German speaker.
